Cotton Fabric


Cotton is a soft, fluffy staple fiber that grows in a boll, or protective case, around the seeds of the cotton plants of the genus Gossypium in the mallow family Malvaceae. The fiber is almost pure cellulose. Under natural conditions, the cotton bolls will increase the dispersal of the seeds.Cotton is used to make many type of fabrics and is also known for its versatility, performance and natural comfort. The widely available range of textures from lightweight lawn and voile to heavy-weight velvets and moleskin. The main types of light and flowy cotton fabrics are cotton knits/blends, prints, ikats, embroideries, laces, dobby & jacquard, indigo, denims, lawns & voiles, checks and stripes, velvet and many more.
